Our objective is to make sure all your visits with us will be informative and pleasant. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination by the doctor and a discussion of the proposed treatment of the orthodontic needs for you or your child. We always schedule adequate time to completely answer all your questions, approximately one hour. There is no charge for this most important visit.

At this first appointment, through the use of digital technology, we will supply you and your family dentist with a summary of our findings and a review of the individual treatment plan for the patient. In addition photos and x-rays will be included to enhance the understanding of the treatment plan.

If treatment is recommended by the doctor, sufficient time will have been allocated in the schedule that day to allow us to secure the necessary additional records. These would include impressions and the wax-bites necessary to make a three-dimensional recording of the malocclusion. Frontal and lateral x-rays of the head are also made so that measurements can be derived to confirm the Doctor's original diagnosis. This will give us an accurate representation of the beginning problem. Then as treatment progresses, we can refer back to the original problem, if necessary, to determine treatment progress. Getting these important records at the first appointment will save you and your family the time necessary to make a return visit

Also, at this first visit, the fee for the proposed treatment will be discussed. The Treatment Coordinator will discuss with you the many options that are available for the fee payment. We can customize the payment schedule to best suit the individual needs of the family.
