Drs. King and Mayerson have an outstanding training program that must be successfully completed by each new addition to our Orthodontic Team. Since the staff is deeply involved in all the phases of our practice, we feel that it is necessary to develop the Team to its optimal potential. Our training program, originally developed by Dr. Ben King, is the most imitated in the country. It consists of didactic as well as clinical experiences. Some time ago we developed a curriculum for all our Team members that we call our "Patient Appreciation Training" program. It is aimed at improving our communication skills and emphasizing the importance of our patients and their families to our practice.

Each staff member is a specialist in one or more of the functions of the office. We feel that the more knowledge each of us has, the better we can serve our patients and their families. Each one of our staff members brings something special to our practice. Their friendliness and competence adds much to our relationships with our patients. Our office is justifiably proud of our Team.

Treatment Coordinator
Cathy has been with the office for over 14 years. She will be the first person in the office that you will formally meet and she will help you get started on your way to a dazzling smile. She will assist Dr. King and Dr. Sam in the initial examinations and she will be able to answer any of your questions or concerns with your treatment. Cathy’s husband’s name is Ed, and they have been married for 19 years. They enjoy the great outdoors, fishing, hiking and camping. They have two grown children, Tonya (who is a lab technician in the office)and Mike.

Appointment Coordinator
Gail has been with the office for 28 years. Gail is the Appointment Coordinator position. Some of her other tasks include the correspondence that leaves the office, handling all the insurance claim filing and follow up insurance activity. Gail can also help out in the treatment room when needed. Gail has been married for 22 years to her husband Jeff and they have one daughter, Kristen, who is a senior at Preble Shawnee H.S. Gail's family lives on a mini-farm in Gratis, Ohio, where they enjoy a "country living" lifestyle. In her spare time she likes to read, spend time at the lake with her husband, and veg out on the couch watching movies.

Appointment Coordinator
Nancy has been with the office for 27 years. Her tasks mostly revolve around the front desk area, but she is also a back-up for our Financial Coordinator and fills in when necessary. Nancy was recently married to Galen, and they are having a great time together as newlyweds! They share their home with a Schnauzer, Angel.

Financial Coordinator
Bonnie has been with the office 12 years as the Financial Coordinator. She is able to answer any questions that you may have regarding your financial account. She has been married for 29 years to her husband, Carl and has two daughters, Carla and Sarah. Carla and her husband, Allyn, made Bonnie a "Granny" in August 2005 with the birth of their first daughter, Julia.

Treatment Room Supervisor
Jeanne has been with the office since 1995…and most of that time has been as a supervisor. She is responsible for making sure that the treatment room runs smoothly and efficiently. Jeanne has been married for 30 years to her husband Curt. They have two grown children Rob and Jackie, daughter-in-law Nancy, and two grandchildren Tyler and Katelyn.

Orthodontic Assistant
Pam has been with the office for over 27 years. She is able to “do it all” when it comes to treatment room responsibilities ... everything from helping put the braces on to taking them off. She also helps in our lab when needed. Pam has two children - - Nicole and Daniel., son-in-law Ryan, and two "wonderful" grandsons, Caden and Brycen.

Orthodontic Assistant
Penny has been with the office for over 20 years. She has held several different positions within the office since she started here in 1984 - but feels most at home in the treatment room. Penny is the mom to 2 great kids. Logan is 12 and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Chris is 10 and both boys play soccer.

Orthodontic Assistant
Michelle has been with the office for 6 years. She is a huge Nascar and hockey fan. Along with taking care of our patients in the treatment room, she is responsible for ordering supplies for our office and helping train new employees.

Orthodontic Assistant
My name is Monique. I have been with King and Mayerson for a year. My orthodontic experience includes 7 years with other practices in this area. I recently became a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. I am a HUGE Denver Broncos fan!! If you look in the parking lot of the office you will know which car is mine because EVERYTHING on it speaks that I am a fan!! I have two children. My son’s name is Kyle and is an 8th grader at Bellbrook Junior High. Kyle enjoys hockey and plays on a Beavercreek JV team and the Blue Hawks of Dayton select hockey team--- I support him by cheering him on. My daughter’s name is Shay. She is a 3rd grader at Sugarcreek Elementary. She is involved with soccer, cheerleading and basketball. Both of my kids are currently in treatment at the office. In my spare time I enjoy bowling in a league, golfing, and have a musical collection of over 400 CDs. I enjoy my position with King and Mayerson and love talking and joking with all the patients that I see. I look forward to being a part of your successful treatment.

Orthodontic Assistant
I worked for King & Mayerson 7 years ago for 2 years as an assistant. I rejoined the practice in December 2006. I have been married to my husband Ben for 3 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters. Lillyn is 2 1/2 and Avrianna is 10 months. I enjoy being outdoors, fishing, camping and having fun with my family.

Lab Technician
Pamela has been with the office for 7 years. Her main responsibilities revolve around setting up the study models and making all the retainers that the patients receive at the end of their active orthodontic treatment. Pamela has been married to Robert for 32 years and they have three children, Christopher, Amy and Chad, and has a new daughter-in-law Rebekah as of May 2005.

Support Assistant
Tonya has been with us for 6 years. She now works in our Lab as a Technician. She makes retainers and study models. One thing that takes up a lot of her time is her doberman "Duecz."
