PEDODONTICS
Proper care and maintenance for children suffering from baby bottle decay. This can range from sealants, fluoride treatments, and bonding, to pulpotomies or extraction of primary teeth, and space maintainers.
We provide access to regular dental health exams, prophys, fluoride treatments and sealants.We provide choices in restorative materials for primary teeth based on the values and feelings of the parents.We offer interceptive orthodontic treatment to correct problems at an early stage of developement.
ORTHODONTICS
Children and Adults
This treatment is based on removable appliances that stimulate bone and muscle growth and correct the alignment of the teeth.
This treatment is based on a bonded bracket system with archwires that correct the alignment of the teeth.
Orthodontic treatment can begin at age 5 or 6 with interceptive orthodontics in the form of either functional or fixed appliances. At age 11-15, orthodontics can take the form of either removable or bonded therapy, or a combination of both, based on the form and genetic inheritance of the individual. As for adults, orthodontic treatment is centered around a cosmetic approach, utlilzing "invisible" and tooth colored appliances to coincide with the lifestyle of the individual.
COSMETICS
This process reverses the discoloration of tooth enamel of both vital and non-vital teeth to create a whiter, "brighter", more esthetic appearance.We offer in-office laser and take-home bleaching systems.
We add ceramics to the front of your existing teeth as well as picking shades to match your teeth.
This technique requires no anesthesia and is a facing of porcelain that has strength, color, and durability of a crown, and the appearance of a natural tooth.
A porcelain crown is used to restore function and strength to badly weakened teeth.
These replace missing teeth and strenghten the support of existing teeth.
These can be reconstructed without any metal clasps to give a natural and esthetic appearance.
PERIODONTICS
Our periodontal program is wellness oriented and provides the freedom to treat an individual as frequently as necessary based on healing capacities and commitment factors of time. This helps eliminate the constant rebounding of the disease many people experience each time stress or other factors cause their immune systems to break down. We incorporate either a non-surgical approach which includes scaling, root planning, curettage, antimicrobial agents and fluoride rinses, and/or a surgical approach which will recontour existing anatomical problems.
ENDODONTICS
This is a technique where medication is directly applied to the exposed pulp in order to avoid root canal therapy.
In a severely decayed tooth, the inner contents of the tooth is removed in order to maximize the life of the tooth.
This is a procedure where 1/2 of the tooth is saved, and a cap is subsequently used to restore the tooth.
This procedure saves the tooth and allows the tooth and /or bridge to remain intact.
RESTORATIVE
This is a standard silver filling which has been the mainstay of dentistry for years.
These are tooth-colored restorations which are bonded to the tooth and give the tooth internal strength and esthetic value.
These are more durable and characteristically strengthen the tooth, and it protects the remaining tooth structure from fracture.
Porcelain combines the advantage and durability of gold with the esthetic of today's ceramics, and protects the remaining tooth from fracture.
IMPLANTS
Our commitment to you in your choice of dental health allows us to offer implants as a significant means of reconstruction for the partially or fully edentulous mouth. Implants are used to create stable support in areas where no teeth exist, or where teeth need to be extracted. Implants give a natural, lifelike, recreation of a dentition with greater function and support. For those patients who desire to wear dentures, implants can be used to stabilize and reduce mobility of the dentures.
COMPUTER AND VIDEO IMAGING
We offer you the convenience of viewing by computer video imaging, any cosmetic, bleaching, reconstructive, and restorative changes you may be considering or deciding upon. The imaging system can be used to illustrate soft tissue changes associated with orthodontics and periodontal surgery. The video monitor can also view and compare intra-oral structures such as broken restorations, missing teeth, and inflammation due to plaque and calculus.
